A Hundred Tourist Photo in One

Stonehenge, Wiltshire, UK

Next time you're photographing a monument, take a second to look at the people around you who are also photographing that monument. That's what Corinne Vionnet did while visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa; she wondered what it would look like to combine the tourist photos.

After a quick Internet search and some digital collaging, a series was born. Each image in Photo Opportunities is a collage of about 100 images aligned around a single point: Mao's face, the tip-top of Mount Fuji, the clock on the Big Ben tower. Who knows, yours might even be in there somewhere.

I did something similar recently by automatically aligning 256 images of Notre Dame using homographies: http://imgur.com/YIoc4
