A Research Engineer position is available at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). The position is to study various video analytic tools that can assist children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). We focus on novel theoretical and algorithmic contributions, but also the design of associated proof-of-concept prototypes. The successful candidate will join a project team comprising a multi-disciplinary group of experts, working together to explore how video analytics and robotics can help in the diagnosis, therapy and caretaking of ASD children.

The successful candidate should have a Master or equivalent degree, and he/she should have a strong theoretical background in the relevant areas of Computational Vision such as activity recognition, abnormal event detection, motion analysis, eye-gaze tracking etc. Strong applied mathematics and proficient programming background is a plus. Strong publication records in internationally recognized conferences or journals are preferred
